Google Maps got its first public API 10 years ago, and the team behind it is setting off on a massive US road trip to celebrate the milestone.

They’re making the journey in a customized vintage 1959 GM tour bus and will be holding meetups with developers, bikers, athletes and, apparently, Elmo, along the way. The whole thing is concluding with an event at Disney World.

The bus will begin its trip in San Francisco, where it will be stationed outside Google I/O on the corner of  4th Street and Howard Street. Unlike the actual conference, it’s open to anyone, not just attendees with badges.

From there the Google Maps tour will stop in Utah, Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, Virginia, Georgia and Florida, showing off apps developed using the APIs along the way.
